Vietnam // October 2015

I realized that ever since I moved to America when I was 5, I have visited Vietnam every 6 years.  The previous trips was just my family and I, since my Vietnamese wouldn't get me too far there. This time around I was able to bring Carley along and she was as culture shocked as we would all expect. It was great having her there because in the past, I would have had to tag along with my parents for the entirety of the trip. But with her alongside, we were able to see and partake in things the town had to offer that my parents probably wouldn't be so interested in. The first half of the day we would spend time with my family in Vietnam who showed us where and what to eat, and at night we would do our own thing. It was easy and convenient to navigate around town as taxi cabs were literally on every corner of every block.

During the 2 weeks we were there, we spent time in Saigon (where I grew up), Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ha Long Ba, and Ba Na Hills. Never would I have thought to see an entire country in such a short amount of time, but we loved every minute of it.
